Aowanda Forest
Recreation Area is located in the
southeastern Jenai Township of Nantou County, through which Nouliao, Chinshui,
Magu, North Wanda, and South Wanda Creeks all flow. It
covers 2787-hectare and
is at 1100 to 2600 meters
above sea level.
Aowanda attracts tourists all year
round. It is an ideal place to enjoy cherry blossoms in summer as well as
waterfalls and fireflies in summer. Autumn
and winter are the seasons to appreciate the beautiful maple leaves
turnring red or orange. The comfortable weather, warm in winter and cool in
summer will definitely please tourists during their hiking, bird-watching and
cherishing the nature.
